Taema offers a range of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) generators designed to correct sleep apnea respiratory disorders. They act by applying a positive pressure to the upper air ways.

The pressure is set specifically for each individual's requirements, determined during the titration test which is conducted either automatically (auto-titration) by an auto-controlled CPAP system or manually in a laboratory by means of polysomnography.

Taema's offering includes a comprehensive line of constant (BORA and BORA C) or auto-controlled (BORA ADAPTEC) CPAP systems. A range of accessories is available with this offering to meet patients' and professionals' needs optimally.

ADAPTEC technology is innovative in auto CPAP treatment, which allows to prevent obstruction at its first step.

Developed by Taema in close cooperation with medical experts, ADAPTEC technology determines the suitable level of pressure for effective auto CPAP treatment of sleep apnea, while providing maximum patient comfort.

ADAPTEC faithfully reconstitutes the patient respiratory flow for an optimal analysis of its fluctuations. ADAPTEC's exclusive algorithms particularly make it possible to identify central apnea.

To anticipate respiratory events, BORA ADAPTEC treats the obstruction at its onset when it becomes pathological. In this way, the pressure is perfectly adapted to the prevention of major events without reaching an excessively high level. To prevent further events from occurring, ADAPTEC does not authorize a decrease in pressure in the presence of constant flow limitation and in the absence of other respiratory events.
